چکیده
The objective of this research is to provide a new recycling method for one the most consumed plastics today, since it used manufacture wide variety industrial products, which leads an environmental problem caused by incorrect handling and final disposal. dissolution expanded polystyrene waste was evaluated using natural esters its post treatment recovery. use omega-3 as solvent creates opportunity take advantage biomass, can be obtained from residues fishing activities, being economic obtaining raw material also friendly with environment. For development research, containers were dissolved in omega-3, glyceryl tributyrate, ethyl butyrate; methanol isopropanol characterization recovered carried out thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy X-ray powder diffraction techniques. experimental data indicated that these good alternative polystyrene.

Adjusted Density High-strength Concrete Using Expanded Polystyrene Beads
This paper reports the results of an experimental investigation into the effects of incorporating varying amounts of expanded polystyrene beads on the engineering properties of high-strength concrete. It was observed that a density reduction of 8.3% caused compressive strength, tensile strength and modulus of elasticity to reduce by 48%, 39% and 15%, respectively. Drying shrinkage was marginall...
متن کاملuse of expanded polystyrene (eps) and shredded waste polystyrene (swap) beads for control of mosquitoes
background: mosquitoes transmit several diseases to human. there are several measures for control of larvae. as part of integrated vector management (ivm) program, the utility of floating layers of polystyrene beads (eps) is a potential alternative in habitats of mosquito larva. eps beads prevent oviposition of mosquito as well as killing the immature stages by forming a tick layer on the w...
متن کامل06 Field efficacy of expanded polystyrene fc.indd
Concerns about traditional chemical pesticides has led to increasing research into novel mosquito control methods. This study compared the effectiveness of 2 different types of polystyrene beads for control of mosquito larvae in south-east Islamic Republic of Iran. Simulated field trials were done in artificial pools and field trials were carried out in 2 villages in an indigenous malaria area ...
